Mission Statement
We house veterans facing PTSD/mental health, and also rescue wolves and wolfdogs. We also have rescued livestock. Together they can help each other. We currently have over 130 wolves and wolfdogs and 30+ rescued livestock (4 cows, 4 horses, 1 sheep, 2 pigs, lots of chickens).
Description
Their unique Pack 22 initiative, a wolf and wolfdog rescue unit, offers both Veterans and animals a second chance.
We have two locations. One in Sedalia and one in Yoder. Our Sedalia location is 9 acres and has roughly 30 Wolfdogs and about 20 Chickens.
Our Yoder location is 39 acres and has 91 Wolfdogs, 25 Chickens, 4 Steer, 2 Horses, 2 Mini Horses, 2 Pigs, 1 Sheep.
The Yoder location was aquired to us in March of 2023 after a fire took place and sadly took the lofe of the previous owner. Wolfman Greg and his Wolfdog. We were called out to rescue his remaining Wolfdogs. We now reside on the property along with his Wolfdogs. We have a lot of cleaning and building still to do. We have lots of projects at this location and are very short staffed.
Duties for volunteers include: animal care (food prep, feeding, cleaning) (we feed roughly 400 pounds of meat per day). Cleaning in general of freezers, prep areas, trash, sanitizing. Organization of items to be kept nice and together. Yard work, shoveling of dirt or snow, digging holes for posts, gardening, raking. Building (we always have building projects from dog shelters to working on veteran tiny homes, fencing, gates, we need to build a livestock shelter). Picking up poop, grooming, new bedding, random fixes of things. The list goes on....
