Mission Statement
Our Vision: Is to begin working on developing collaborative partnerships with community-based organizations to provide our students with transferrable skills for the real world (job readiness). We are hoping to have students attend external sites during the course of their instructional day between 10am-1:30pm, at least once a week. We have around 250 students between both of our sites and are looking for external placements for about half of them through different organizations and companies.
Description
We are a D75 program located at 317 West 52nd street New York, NY 10019 with another site at West 44th street. 100% of our student body consists of students with IEPs and have a 12:1:1 setting on their IEP (12 students, 1 teacher, and 1 paraprofessional per class). Our students reading, writing, and math levels vary from Kindergarten to 12th grade. All of our students are standardized assessed, meaning they are expected to take regents to graduate high school and earn 44 credits as required by NYCDOE to earn a high school diploma. We have students with classifications ranging from autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, emotional disturbance, etc.
