Mission Statement
The mission of the Black Achievement Fund is to finance the grand development of Black America and beyond through a simple system of collective economics or Ujamaa: 10 million Black people (and our allies) + $9 a month = $90 million a month/$1 billion+ a year With this recycled capital, BAF will economically empower Black people and build new Black communities, institutions and municipalities that reflect our Guiding Principals and collective genius. Membership to BAF is open to anyone who believes in our mission and Guiding Principals regardless of race, religion, political affiliation, or sexual identity. All assets are collectively owned. The Black Achievement Fund is a nonprofit 501 (c) 3 economic and community development corporation. All donations are 100% tax deductible.
Description
The Black Achievement Fund is open to anyone who believes in its mission and Guiding Principles regardless of race, religion, nationality, political preference, or sexuality. The BAF currently has over 3,300 members from all backgrounds in all 50 states and over 5 dozen members internationally.
Since June 2020, the BAF has recycled over $650,000 back into the Black community, opened our first members-only Kemet Club in Atlanta ( www.baf.solutions/kemetclub ), provided thousands in scholarships and grants to BAF members and nonprofits, hosted countless educational programs, services and cultural events, and more importantly, purchased our first 6 acres of land, which is part of our 112-acre Nu Kemet Retreat and Residential Community. We were given 2 more acres by our Co-founder and President, Arkee Hodges to build the Retreat’s Clubhouse.
