Virtual Opportunity
Youth Guard is excited to offer a unique volunteer opportunity for young people to get involved in spreading positivity while earning community service hours! We’re seeking volunteers to participate in our Card Writing Campaign, where you'll create thoughtful and supportive cards for youth affected by epilepsy. These cards will be delivered to local hospitals, offering encouragement and comfort to children in need. How It Works: For every 10 cards you create, you will earn 1 hour of community service. Once your cards are ready, you will deliver them to a local hospital (with parental permission if necessary) and submit a photo of you handing them over as proof of delivery. We will provide documentation to your school verifying your community service hours to ensure they are properly credited. What You’ll Be Doing: Write encouraging, positive, and heartwarming messages on cards designed to lift the spirits of youth affected by epilepsy. Help bring smiles to children’s faces by providing a little extra joy during their hospital stay. Participate in a meaningful community service project while making a real difference. Requirements: Cards should be heartfelt, colorful, and uplifting-nothing too heavy or too long-just a simple note of encouragement. Volunteers must submit photos of themselves delivering the cards to a local hospital (with the hospital’s permission). You must be able to submit your card creations and the photos of delivery within a reasonable time frame. Community service hours will be documented and reported to your school. Why Participate? Make a meaningful difference in the lives of youth affected by epilepsy. Earn community service hours for your school while doing something good. Show your creativity and kindness by spreading positivity to those in need. Contribute to raising awareness about epilepsy in a personal and impactful way. We will email you once you sign up for the event, and maintain that as our form of contact for sending the photos and such. Thank you all!
