Mission Statement

We lift up people that are seeking refuge in our community.

Description

The Downtown Denver Islamic Center is an inclusive, welcoming hub for the Islamic community in Denver. We build bridges through humanitarian programs for refugees, immigrants and low-income neighbors of all faiths and backgrounds. One of our major programs is the Food Program, where we provide Free, Culturally-Responsive Food to our neighbors, refugees and immigrants who may be experiencing hunger. The Food Relief Program takes place on the 2nd Saturday of each month, and more frequently during Ramadan.
Volunteers are critical to the success of the Food Relief Program. Each month, we rely on a team of volunteers to sort, assemble and distribute our food packages.
