Volunteering here is amazing! There are so many different things to do and all the employees are awesome people. You will learn so much here, and feel appreciated every day. They take your needs and wants seriously and bend over backwards to make things good for you. The flexibility and easy way to sign up are also very nice. The museum itself is such a pleasant place to be, and there's always a quiet place to retreat to somewhere if you need it. If you like kids, this is a wonderful place, especially because there is always a great ratio of adults to kids no matter what you help with. If you like animals, you will have many chances to get close and learn tons about their biology and care. I have done everything from make materials, to teaching about the galleries, to dancing for hours, to cutting open sharks, to spreading the word about our amazing museum to hundreds of people. If you have an inkling of consideration to volunteer here, it's going to be the best choice you ever made.
