Description

UIM serves the international community in the Rock Hill, Lancaster, and Chester, SC, areas through two key programs.

The Teacher Care and Engagement Program supports international public school teachers hired through cultural exchange programs to address the local teacher shortage. These teachers face unique challenges, and UIM provides practical assistance, community connections, and opportunities for meaningful engagement.

The Student Engagement Program focuses on international students at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC, offering support and fostering relationships to help them navigate life away from home.

At UIM, we strive to reflect Christ’s love by connecting the "world at our doorstep" with the local Christian community. Our programs create safe spaces for open conversations, free from fear of rejection or judgment, where international teachers and students can experience love, support, and meaningful community.
