Mission Statement
ElderCARE Lake County is dedicated to supporting homebound older adults (60+) with limited resources, helping them maintain health and independence. We provide free medical transportation, shopping assistance, and home visits to seniors in Northern Lake County, Illinois. Through a committed network of compassionate volunteers, we deliver these services at no cost, fostering a sense of community and care.
Description
What We Do: Our trained volunteers and dedicated staff coordinate services for hundreds of care recipients annually. These interactions-between staff, volunteers, and older adults-promote community engagement, improving the overall well-being of both individuals and the community at large.
To ensure quality and identify areas for improvement, we regularly survey volunteers and care recipients about our programs. Since 1998, ElderCARE has been a cornerstone of senior support in Northern Lake County. With a newly invigorated team, we are expanding our capacity to meet the growing needs of the region's aging population.
