Mission Statement
Our mission at One Stop Shop is to provide solutions for life. Within our building, we house a variety of programs to assist citizens in Pasco County. Our Luggage of Love program provides gently used luggage for children and families in transition. We also have a clothing boutique where we provide clothing for families in need. The YES program (Young Entrepreneurial Students) is directed by Sammy Ortiz who mentors youth in entrepreneurial skills. For individuals looking to start their own culinary business, we have an incubator kitchen. Business vendors may use our kitchen and receive business coaching via Smartstart EDC. We also offer Career Resource Workshops to citizens looking for a job. Our final program is our pantry. Twice a week, we provide supplement food items to families who are having food insecurity. As a way to meet the needs of our participants, we also provide resources and support to meet them where they are currently at.
Description
In March of 2024, we opened our pantry. During our first month, we served 1,050 people. As of October, we served 4,210. We have increased substantially. Through our data collection, our families are wanting access to healthy foods. In an effort to provide them with this need, we have built a garden where we will grow produce for our families. At the One Stop Shop, we strive to hear from the community on what their needs are and respond if we are able. Another area where we have met a need for our families is through our Grand Group. Our Grand Group was created due to the 70 grandparents raising grandchildren. This group is created to support and provide resources to our Grands as they are raising their grandchildren.
