Position Overview: The Ukraine Defense Support Fundraising Director will play a key role in developing and implementing the organization’s fundraising strategies to secure donations from individuals, foundations, and corporate partners. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the cause, experience in nonprofit fundraising, and a proven ability to meet ambitious revenue targets. This role requires strategic thinking, leadership, and hands-on execution to build and maintain strong relationships with donors and supporters. Key Responsibilities: Develop and Execute Fundraising Strategies: Create and lead comprehensive fundraising plans to meet the organization’s financial goals, including major gift programs, individual donor campaigns, grant proposals, and corporate sponsorships. Donor Cultivation & Stewardship: Build relationships with existing donors and cultivate new supporters, ensuring they are informed and engaged in the organization’s mission. Develop tailored engagement strategies for high-net-worth individuals, foundations, and corporate partners. Grant Writing & Management: Identify, apply for, and manage grants from foundations and other funding sources to support the organization’s initiatives in Ukraine. Event Planning: Organize and manage fundraising events such as galas, virtual events, or community activities to generate revenue and increase awareness of the organization’s mission. Online Fundraising & Digital Campaigns: Lead the organization’s online fundraising efforts, including managing donation platforms, crowdfunding initiatives, email campaigns, and social media outreach to engage and expand the donor base. Collaborate with the Communications Team: Work closely with the communications team to ensure consistent messaging and outreach efforts, including newsletters, annual reports, and donor updates. Budget Management: Oversee the fundraising budget, ensuring effective use of resources to meet financial goals. Manage a team of unpaid volunteers working on all the above fundraising projects. Reporting & Metrics: Track and report on fundraising progress, donor engagement, and campaign performance to the executive team and board of directors. Regularly assess fundraising strategies for improvement. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a successful track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals. Experience in major gift fundraising, corporate sponsorships, and grant writing. Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills. Proficiency in donor management software and online fundraising platforms. Passion for supporting Ukraine and the organization’s mission. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Familiarity with international humanitarian or military support organizations is a plus. Why Join Us? This key leadership role will oversee and manage the organization’s Internship Program, ensuring a valuable and educational experience for participants while advancing the organization’s mission. The role involves recruiting interns, developing a structured program, providing mentorship, and coordinating internship projects that align with the organization’s goals. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for education, mentorship, and fostering future leaders in international relations and advocacy. Key Responsibilities: Program Development & Management: Design and manage the internship program, including setting goals, creating internship project opportunities, and ensuring the program’s alignment with organizational objectives. Recruitment & Outreach: Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent from universities, professional organizations, and advocacy groups. Promote the internship program through social media, networking events, and partnerships with educational institutions. Selection & Placement: Manage the intern selection process, including reviewing applications, conducting interviews, and matching candidates with appropriate roles within the organization. Training & Orientation: Develop and lead orientation sessions to introduce interns to the organization, its mission, and key objectives. Performance Monitoring: Track intern progress and performance, providing regular feedback and evaluations. Conduct exit interviews to assess the success of the program and areas for improvement. Alumni Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with former interns, fostering a sense of community and encouraging long-term involvement with the organization’s work. Event Planning: Organize and coordinate events for interns, such as networking sessions, skill-building workshops, and guest speaker panels featuring professionals in advocacy, policy, and international relations. Program Reporting: Provide regular reports to the Executive Director on the status and success of the internship program, including data on intern performance, project outcomes, and overall program effectiveness. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in education, human resources, nonprofit management, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience managing internship or fellowship programs, ideally in a nonprofit or advocacy setting. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines. Passion for mentorship, education, and youth development. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience in recruitment, outreach, or talent management is a plus. Demonstrated commitment to Ukraine’s cause or an interest in international relations and global advocacy. Position Overview: The Political Advocacy Director will spearhead the organization’s efforts to influence policymakers, media outlets, and the international community in support of Ukraine. This role requires a deep understanding of the geopolitical landscape, strong relationships with key stakeholders, and the ability to craft and execute comprehensive advocacy campaigns. The Political Advocacy Director will be instrumental in shaping the organization’s messaging and strategic direction as it relates to government and diplomatic engagement. Key Responsibilities: Develop Advocacy Strategies: Lead the development and execution of advocacy plans aimed at influencing U.S. and international government policies, fostering support for Ukraine, and securing political and military aid. Engage with Policymakers: Build and maintain relationships with lawmakers, government agencies, and political influencers to advocate for increased support for Ukraine through direct lobbying efforts, meetings, and coalition-building. Policy Research & Analysis: Monitor and analyze geopolitical trends, legislative developments, and international responses to the conflict in Ukraine. Provide regular reports and recommendations to the executive team and board of directors. Draft Policy Proposals & Briefings: Prepare policy proposals, white papers, talking points, and briefings to educate stakeholders on Ukraine’s needs, including sanctions, military aid, and humanitarian assistance. Tailor materials for different audiences, including members of Congress, European governments, and international organizations. Coalition Building: Collaborate with allied organizations, think tanks, and advocacy groups to form coalitions and amplify the impact of pro-Ukraine efforts. Minimum of 5 years of experience in political advocacy, public policy, or government relations, preferably with a focus on international or geopolitical issues. Strong understanding of U.S. and international political systems, especially regarding foreign policy, defense, and humanitarian aid. Proven track record of successfully influencing legislation or securing policy changes. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience in public speaking, lobbying, and media engagement.
