Mission Statement

To enhance the quality of life for those facing advancing illness, death, and bereavement through skilled and compassionate care, education, research, and advocacy. Although located on the property of Land of Medicine Buddha, Tara home is nondenominational.

Description

Tara Home residents are generally within the last few weeks or months of life. Volunteers are needed to provide companionship or to simply 'be' with a guest in silence. Volunteers may read to guests or talk with them or they might be simply in the background as friends and family visit. Volunteer training will be provided and is ongoing.
