Musicians Foundation's mission is to foster the interests and advance the condition and social welfare of professional musicians and to provide voluntary aid and assistance to professional musicians and their families in case of need.

Description

Founded in 1914, Musicians Foundation provides financial assistance grants to professional musicians and their families in times of emergency. While the music industry is projected to grow in the next decade, many musicians continue to live in precarious situations that make them very vulnerable to life’s challenges. Musicians Foundation helps bridge this gap by supporting musicians to navigate life’s challenges so that they can continue enriching our communities.

Since our founding, 110 years ago, we have awarded 25,000+ grants and over $15M in aid to musicians in need across the 50 states. In 2023, we gave a total of $166,000 to 149 musicians across 29 states. Our support helped these musicians pay for housing (60%), medical (21%), utility (10%), and dental expenses (9%).
