Position Summary Empower change by leading Season to Soar’s budget and fundraising initiatives to ensure that fewer youth face challenges such as food insecurity, violence, and poverty. As the Budget and Fundraising Chair, you will provide essential leadership to our committee, serving as the primary liaison with the Advisory Board. Through this role, you will make a lasting impact on the lives of middle school-aged children in underserved communities. Essential Functions Functions as a strategic partner to key departments, offering guidance on financial planning, fundraising initiatives, and budget allocation to ensure alignment with Season to Soar’s mission. Leads the development of innovative fundraising strategies and financial plans. Responsible for executing fundraising activities, including grant writing, sponsorship development, and donation drives. Directs and mentors committee members, ensuring effective communication and support within the Budget and Fundraising Committee. Cultivates committee member engagement and oversees recruitment and onboarding. Acts as the primary contact between the Budget and Fundraising Committee and the Advisory Board, maintaining consistent and transparent communication on financial matters and progress. Oversees organizational budget, financial policies, and fund allocation. Regularly reviews financial practices to ensure resources are used effectively and aligned with program goals. Participates in special projects, serves as a facilitator for project teams, and coordinates presentations and training sessions for committee and board members. Education & Experience Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, and 2-5 years of related experience in accounting or finance. Demonstrated expertise in grant writing and nonprofit fundraising is preferred. Professional certification, such as CPA, is preferred Additional Requirements Must successfully pass a general background check, including a local and state criminal history check. Requires a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Physical Requirements · Extended Keyboard Use: Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation. Sensory Requirements · Some tasks require the ability to discern visual and audio cues for effective communication. · Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, particularly in discussions with committee members and the Advisory Board. Environmental Exposures · Essential functions are typically performed in standard indoor environments with no significant exposure to adverse conditions. Estimated Time Commitment · Estimated to be 2 hours per week and term length is one year.

You’ll play a vital role in managing the budget and financial policies, supporting our mission to equip underserved youth with the resources needed to succeed. Essential Functions Manage the organization's budget, oversee accounting, and develop financial policies. Serve as the organization’s financial advisor, providing insights for fiscal stability. Lead monthly financial reviews with the Board of Directors and assist in budget preparation. Oversee resource allocation to support program initiatives effectively. Education & Experience Strong background in finance, accounting, or budget management, ideally within a nonprofit context. Experience with financial statement analysis, policy development, and strategic resource allocation. Ability to present complex financial information clearly and collaborate effectively with Board members and team leaders. CPA or similar credentials are beneficial but not required; previous Board experience is a plus.
