Volunteer Opportunity: Are you passionate about supporting children and families with disabilities? Do you have a knack for organization and a desire to make a meaningful impact in your community? NestEd Center for Development, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive evaluations and wraparound services for children with trauma and disabilities, is looking for dedicated volunteers to assist with administrative work and outreach efforts! Organization: NestEd Center for Development Location: Remote/Hybrid Time Commitment: 5-10 hours per week, flexible around key events and deadlines Position Summary: NestEd Center for Development is looking for a Volunteer Donor Outreach & Fundraising Support Specialist to help expand our donor base, focusing on identifying, researching, and engaging potential small and major donors. The volunteer will support our mission to empower families and individuals with neurodiversity by enhancing our donor engagement strategies and identifying key funding opportunities. Prior experience in fundraising or donor outreach is recommended. Key Responsibilities: * Conduct research to identify potential individual donors, corporate sponsors, and grant opportunities. * Assist in building a prospect list of small and major donors, with a focus on those aligned with NestEd Center’s mission and values. * Support the development of personalized donor outreach materials, including proposals, impact reports, and follow-up communications. * Collaborate with the Executive Director and fundraising team to develop strategies for engaging new and existing donors. * Help maintain the donor database, track communications, and assist in developing a stewardship plan for donor retention. * Provide support in coordinating major fundraising events, such as annual galas, and in organizing small donor engagement gatherings. Qualifications: * Recommended experience in fundraising, donor research, sales, or nonprofit development. * Strong research skills, with an ability to identify and prioritize potential donors. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a persuasive writing style. * Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently. * Proficiency in donor management software (preferred but not required) and Google Workspace.
