Mission Statement
To transition Service Members, Law Enforcement Retirees, First Responders, and Spouses into the Public Education Sector in order to strengthen Leadership and Experience in America’s Public School system
Description
Heroes to Education (HTE) is the next iteration of Troops to Teachers. We have a history of congressional interaction to build a public-private partnership with a mission of placing veterans and spouses in America's public schools. Our organization has extended our government interaction to include the Domestic Policy Council, Department of Labor, Department of Educations, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and Department of Defense. Finally we are interacting with other VSOs to bring the public-private partnership to fruition.
Goals: Recruit Veterans, Law Enforcement Retirees and Spouses
- Certification Assistance Guide, Counsel, and Assist Veterans, Law Enforcement Retirees and Spouses on the Pathway to Employment
- Placement Assistance for Veterans, Law Enforcement Retirees and Spouse in Partner Districts
- Raise at least $50M annually
- Develop a Professional and Leader Development System
- Build an Enduring PPP Organization
- Account for measures of effectiveness using a HTE Balance Scorecard System
Programs:
- Recruit, train, and place veterans and spouses in America's Public Schools
- Raise funds in support of placing veterans and spouses in America's Public Schools

- Endorsed by America's Council for Greater City Schools
- Participation in the President's Initiative on School Safety
- Public-Private Partner Legislation captured in the Congressional Record
- Collaboration with School Districts in California, Nevada, and Florida
