Dedicated to the advancement of autism research, and the promotion of autism awareness.
Description
The Britain Foundation is a non-profit organization in its infancy, now entering its second year. Our first year was all about getting established, and now we are focused on expanding our impact. We are passionate about creating meaningful connections and support for individuals with autism, as well as advancing autism awareness and research.
As part of our mission, we are excited to implement two key initiatives:
Britain's Neighborhood Sports Network (BNSN): A sports-based program designed to foster inclusion by giving individuals with autism a platform to connect with others through shared passions and activities.
Autism Support Groups: Our first-ever program, designed to provide a safe and supportive space for people with autism to share experiences, build skills, and foster community connections. We are also in the process of launching a support group for the friends and families of autistic individuals to provide a space for shared understanding and learning.
We are looking for passionate volunteers to help us bring these initiatives to life and expand our reach within the community. Whether you’re interested in helping with program planning, running events, or providing support, we’d love to have you on board as we grow!
