Mission Statement
Our mission at Pathways Early Education Center of Immokalee is to provide exceptional educational programs to the children of Immokalee, Florida.
Description
Pathways Early Education Center of Immokalee was founded in 1964 as the first child care center in the under-resourced community of Immokalee, Florida. For over 60 years, Pathways has provided quality early learning and care to ensure children enter kindergarten ready to learn.
Our mission focuses on the idea that starting early is essential to a child’s present and future well-being. Research has proven that quality early childhood programs are a wise investment. We understand that the best hope for closing the opportunity gap and allowing children to thrive is to invest in the earliest days and create intensive, long-term support for a developing child.
Today, the Center welcomes children between four weeks and five years old, using the research-based curriculum founded on 38 objectives for development and learning, acting as predictors of school success based on school readiness standards. As a nationally accredited school through the National Accreditation Commission (NAC) and a GOLD seal certification recipient from the Department of Education, Pathways upholds the most rigorous educational standards.
In addition to its education program, Pathways partners with the USDA food program to provide all students with a nutritious breakfast, lunch, and after-school snack, ensuring each student is nourished and prepared to learn every day.
