The League of Women Voters, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, whose purpose is to promote political responsibility through informed and active participation in government.

Description

The goal of the League is to empower citizens to shape better communities worldwide. Originally founded to educate newly enfranchised women about voting and election issues, the League has expanded to focus its grassroots organization to provide numerous citizen education services. Membership in the League is open to all of voting age, male or female.
