In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping Shroomate’s visual identity, designing materials that communicate our mission and engage our audience. This is a remote, volunteer position ideal for someone passionate about nature, sustainability, and mushrooms who is looking to contribute to a meaningful cause while growing their portfolio. Key Responsibilities: Design digital and print materials, including social media graphics, infographics, website assets, banners, brochures, and event materials Work with the marketing and content teams to ensure brand consistency across all platforms Collaborate on new campaigns, bringing fresh and innovative ideas to enhance Shroomate’s outreach Assist in developing brand guidelines and templates for future projects Create engaging visuals that communicate complex ideas in simple, attractive formats Ensure all designs are on-trend, high-quality, and aligned with Shroomate’s mission and values Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a graphic designer (freelance, agency, or in-house) Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite Illustrator, Photoshop, & InDesign (we use these programs in-house already). No Canva artists please. A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design styles and mediums Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a remote team environment Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for design aesthetics Excellent communication skills and the ability to accept feedback and iterate on designs Interest or passion for mushrooms, sustainability, or environmental causes is a plus! As a Grant Writer, you will help identify and apply for grants that align with our mission of sustainability and community outreach. Your expertise will help support Shroomate’s growth and ensure we can continue making a positive impact in the areas of environmental sustainability and mushroom research. As Secretary, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, facilitating communication within the board, and ensuring smooth governance processes. This is a critical role, central to Shroomate’s organizational structure, ensuring that all board operations are properly documented and that the board functions efficiently.
