Compassus Kindness Krew Volunteers

As a member of our Kindness Crew the volunteer gets the opportunity to deliver a birthday balloon, card and small gift to our patients celebrating their birthday. While there we ask you to visit and celebrate their big day. There is also a need for volunteers to visit our patients on holidays espically those patients with family who live far away or do not have a support system.

Compassus Special Event Volunteer

A Special Event volunteer helps when Compassus is hosting any type of special event at facilities where our patients live. For example holiday events such a Halloween parties and Christmas programs. There are opportunities in helping with monthly bingo groups, crafts and much more. Our volunteers are assigned a patient for an event or activity and will stay with them during the activity to ensure they enjoy themselves.

Compassus Volunteer

A Compassus volunteer has several areas they can choose to contribute. One to one bedside companion visits where they visit with the patient helping them with activities of interest, socializing, reading a book or watching a movie. They can join the special events team where they assist our patients to attend activities that Compassus sponsors in our facilities such as holiday celebrations, Bingo Buddies and arts and crafts. There is also a need for administrative support assisting the Volunteer Coordinator. We always have a need for pet therapy dogs and their handlers. Our goal is to provide a variety of ways to support our patients and their families and give the volunteer the opportunity to choose what intrests them and are comfortable with.
