Grant Writing Volunteer for a New Nonprofit Description: Embrace Abilities, a nonprofit less than a year old, is seeking a grant writer to help us navigate the world of funding opportunities. While we are a young organization, we are rapidly growing and in need of financial support to sustain and expand our programs. We understand that our age may be a factor in grant eligibility, but we are hopeful that with the right expertise, we can find funders willing to support our mission. Who We Are: Embrace Abilities is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting neurodiverse and special needs children and teens on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. We host free events that build social connections and provide resources for families. Founded in 2024, we are working hard to meet the needs of the community and establish a solid foundation for continued growth. Responsibilities: Research and identify grant opportunities suitable for young, small nonprofits. Write compelling grant proposals and supporting documents. Collaborate with our team to gather relevant information and meet submission requirements. Create a system to track grant opportunities and deadlines. Qualifications: Previous grant writing experience, particularly with nonprofits. Familiarity with securing funding for early-stage organizations is a plus. Who We Are: Embrace Abilities is a nonprofit organization that provides free, inclusive events and activities for neurodiverse and special needs children and their families on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. We are launching two new video segments: Kenzie's Corner: Short, TikTok-style videos where our board member Kenzie, an allied professional, shares her thoughts on various topics. Ask the Allies: A podcast-style video segment where allied professionals answer pre-submitted questions from our community. Responsibilities: Create animated YouTube intros (5-15 seconds each) for both video segments. Ensure intros are aligned with our bright, colorful branding and energetic tone. Design intros with a placeholder for inserting changing topic titles. Collaborate with our team to incorporate feedback and finalize the animations. Qualifications: Experience with animation, video editing, or motion graphics. Familiarity with tools like Adobe After Effects, Canva, or similar platforms. Strong creative skills and attention to detail. Ability to work with bright, colorful, and family-friendly designs. Why Volunteer?
