The Confluences is a Denver-based nonprofit which started in 2020 on the banks of Clear Creek in the midst of a global pandemic, when family and friends gathered to clean up a stretch of overlooked and underappreciated section of Clear Creek.
Our mission is to clean the creek, but also to bring awareness and education about clean water and the living environment. We work with other nonprofits and local businesses to create a healthier environment on and around Clear Creek, Colorado, and wherever we enjoy waterways.
We have cleaned over 6,000 pounds of trash and debris out of the Clear Creek waterways, highways, bike paths, and riparian areas. Every year we host a large cleanup with over 30 local sponsors and over 140 volunteers. Our goal is to continue our education and boots on the ground efforts and pass along this passion to future generations.
