Have experience in grant writing and a passion for animal rescue? We would love your help! American Maltese Association Rescue (AMAR) is looking for volunteers to search and apply for grants. We are preferably looking for volunteers with previous experience in grant writing and research. This is a virtual role and AMAR will work with you on an as-needed basis and as your schedule allows. W e rely solely on donations and fundraising events, so volunteers are critical to the success of the rescue. American Maltese Association Rescue (AMAR) became a 501(c)3, national, non-profit organization in 2012. We’re 100% volunteer and provide adoption services for Maltese surrendered by their owners, found homeless, or who are pulled from shelters. Approved foster homes are utilized to care for these Maltese and Maltese mixes, some of whom were abused, sickly, and homeless, until such time as an adoptive family is approved. AMAR pays all of the medical bills for every dog we rescue, including, but not limited to spay, neuter, diagnostics, and dentals. AMAR also provides support and information to Maltese owners dealing with behavioral and health concerns, as well as education to the public on breed characteristics. American Maltese Association Rescue (AMAR) is looking for volunteers to develop and implement AMAR’s fundraising and event strategy. This is virtual role and AMAR will work with you on an as-needed basis and as your schedule allows. Volunteers will research and implement creative ways to raise money and grow our donor base to support AMAR’s rescue efforts. We rely solely on donations and fundraising events, so volunteers with this experience are critical to the success of the rescue. Key Responsibilities: Research, assess, and develop annual fundraising activities (fund drives, events, product sales, etc.) and timelines to increase revenue streams. Ensure the best social media/fundraising platform is used based on donor demographics. Create information and materials for fundraising activities. Track revenue, expenses, and budget forecast for all fundraising activities. Measure the success of the fundraising activity ( key performance indicators (KPI) like total new donors, repeat donors, or average donation amount.) Ensure donor information is maintained for future use. AMAR is looking for Interns and/or seasoned professionals.
