This virtual volunteer role offers a unique opportunity to leverage your design skills in Canva and CapCut to produce a variety of materials, from social media posts and flyers to branded lanyards and personalized communications. You will play a vital role in maintaining a consistent and impactful brand presence. Key Responsibilities: Design visually appealing and engaging content for our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.). Create marketing materials, including flyers, brochures, and lanyards. Design personalized messages and graphics for volunteer appreciation and other communications. Utilize Canva and CapCut to produce high-quality graphics and videos. Maintain a consistent brand aesthetic across all design projects. Collaborate with the team to brainstorm and develop creative content strategies. Qualifications: Demonstrated proficiency in Canva and CapCut. Strong graphic design skills and a keen eye for visual aesthetics. Familiarity with social media platforms and current content creation trends. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Capture and Share the Impact of Our Food Pantry: Volunteer Photographer/Videographer Role Overview: The JJ Center Inc. seeks a dedicated and skilled photographer/videographer to visually document the vital work of our food distribution and pantry. This role is crucial in providing compelling content for our social media and outreach, showcasing the impact of our programs on the community we serve. We need someone reliable and creative to help us tell our story. Key Responsibilities: Produce high-quality photographs and videos of food distribution, pantry operations, and community interaction. Deliver edited media to the social media team within designated timelines. Adhere to scheduled timeframes, consistently available before 12 PM, Monday - Friday. Maintain and manage equipment to ensure optimal performance. Qualifications: Proven ability in photography and videography. You will play a vital role in supporting our mission to alleviate hunger in the DC area by crafting compelling messages and engaging with the community. We are looking for a strategic communicator to help us tell our story. Key Responsibilities: Media Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with media representatives. Pitch stories about our work to secure media coverage in local news outlets, online publications, and social media platforms. Content Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and design teams to develop compelling content, including press releases, media advisories, and other communication materials, to promote our programs and services. Contribute to the development of engaging social media content to raise awareness of hunger issues and our efforts to address them. Event Support: Assist with planning and promoting fundraising events and community outreach initiatives. Community Engagement: Develop and implement strategies to build relationships with community stakeholders and potential donors.
