Mission Statement

At Hand a Chance, our mission is to empower individuals in rural communities by providing essential resources to start and sustain small businesses. We achieve this by fundraising through local debate competitions and donating to impactful charities in Hyderabad, India, and Western Cape, Africa. Our goal is to foster economic independence and community development, transforming lives through entrepreneurship and innovation.

Description

Our goal is to raise money to donate to rural communities who have aspiring entrepreneurs. As of today, we have raised over 500 people to get employed in these communities and recruited 30+ volunteers. We partner with local organizations, like RICE ATM in Hyderabad, India, to ensure our initiatives are culturally relevant and impactful. RICE ATM, for instance, empowers local entrepreneurs by supplying them with the necessary equipment and guidance to start their own rice vending businesses, thus promoting self-sufficiency and economic resilience.
