If you are passionate about managing cross collaborative teams then this is for you. Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Program Manager Lead to join our team as a volunteer. In this role, you will oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of our various climate action programs. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our initiatives are effectively coordinated and achieve their intended impact across different regions in Africa. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful change while developing your leadership skills in a dynamic, mission-driven environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, planning, and execution of climate action programs. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including community managers, sustainability experts, and technical leads, to ensure program objectives are met. Monitor and evaluate program progress, making adjustments as needed to achieve desired outcomes. Manage program timelines, resources, and budgets in collaboration with other team leads. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local communities, NGOs, and government bodies. Prepare regular reports on program performance for internal and external stakeholders. Mentor and support volunteers and team members working on program-related activities. What We’re Looking For: Experience in program management, ideally in a non-profit or environmental sector. Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for teamwork and collaboration. Ability to work independently and take initiative in a remote, volunteer-driven environment. Familiarity with climate change issues and sustainability practices is a plus. Proficiency in project management tools and software. Commitment to dedicating 4-6 hours per week, with the flexibility to adapt to the needs of the role.
