Founded with its premiere production on November 18, 2018, Encore Theatre and Gallery aims to bring transformative art and innovative entertainment to marginalized communities, becoming a beacon of cultural enrichment and artistic expression. Encore Theatre and Gallery nurtures talents in marginalized communities, embracing both young and mature individuals. Our mission is to create accessible art and transformative experiences that reflect and enrich our diverse neighborhoods. We use the arts to heal, entertain, educate, and serve the creative community, with a focus on celebrating and elevating African-American cultural heritage. Encore Theatre and Gallery has received numerous accolades, including Broadway World awards and nominations. Ebony Magazine recognized us as one of the "18 Black Theater Companies You Can Support Right Now," highlighting our significant contributions to the arts community. While serving a predominantly African American audience, Encore Theatre and Gallery is inclusive and welcomes individuals of all races, colors, creeds, genders, and sexual orientations. Our diverse programs and productions aim to inspire and engage a broad spectrum of community members.
