Victory For Families launched successfully with an inaugural fundraiser event on October 21, 2023, gathering over 100 community members and raising over $6,000 for our pilot program, Money Mindset For Moms. In December 2023, we hosted a free Goal Setting Workshop for single moms, empowering them to identify their key goals for 2024, recognize limiting beliefs and barriers, and make necessary adjustments. January 2024 marked the launch of our pilot program, Money Mindset For Moms: Empowering Single Mothers Through Financial Literacy. Participants expressed how the program helped them regain control of their finances and build confidence towards financial independence. We provided practical tools such as budget templates, debt payoff trackers, and net worth trackers, and partnered with a local bank to educate participants on free resources. Offering dinner and childcare services ensured full engagement in sessions. Participants formed supportive bonds, sharing experiences and inspiring one another. Many moms began daily expense tracking, leading to newfound awareness of spending habits. For some, the program provided just the push needed to put their families on a solid financial path.
