Mission Statement
At the JOB PALACE jobseekers are treated with the upmost respect and dignity, like kings and queens, as they receive help planning a successful career, no matter who they are! We work with people who are unemployed, underemployed, disabled, and self-employed, as long as they have a sincere desire to make a change in their career endeavors and are open to receiving professional career help in the form of one-on-one career counseling, job-search services, business start-up assistance, daily career-related trainings/seminars, job fairs, and case management. There are no start-up fees or upfront costs for jobseekers, and they can immediately earn vouchers to shop for career-related products such as business attire, office supplies, books, electronics, etc.,
Description
The Job Palace(r) works directly with employers who are looking to hire well-trained and dependable employees who interview well, dress professionally, show up daily and on-time, and demonstrate a solid work ethic. Unfortunately, many job-seekers are lacking these very basic requirements for obtaining and maintaining a job for one-year or longer. Statistical information from recent applicants shows significant gaps in employment histories, and few suitable references. Many applicants with degrees do not work in their field and have been reduced to accepting lower skilled jobs in order to survive financially. Data showed that many applicants are self-employed and lacking the essential skills for running a successful small business such as selecting business insurance, creating a budget, writing a contract or press release, creating a website, applying for a tax ID, registering their business, or executing a marketing plan.
