Mission Statement
At Journey Respite Care, our mission is to provide compassionate support and respite care services to caregivers and their loved ones facing the challenges of early to mid stage dementia. We are committed to enhancing the quality of life for individuals and families by offering a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where caregivers can find relief and rejuvenation, and care recipients can engage in meaningful activities and social interactions.
Description
Journey Respite Care, a new and developing ministry, was founded to recognize the challenges faced by caregivers and to establish services that prioritize the well-being of both caregivers and care recipients. The goals of respite care are to provide relief and support, enhance quality of life for individuals and families, empower caregivers by providing resources and connection to support services, and to foster community and a supportive network.
Journey offers a respite care day program in Mission Hall of Covenant Presbyterian Church. In addition, ancillary services include caregiver support and education, workshops, support groups, trainings, community education, a volunteer program, and partnerships with local organizations.
