Mission Statement
Our mission is to protect children, strengthen families and change lives through preventing child abuse and the operation and management of a comprehensive, integrated, community-based system of care for abused, abandoned, and neglected children and their families. Our system of care is family-centered, strength-based, and community-driven. We believe that all children have the inalienable right to grow up safe, healthy, and fulfilled in families that love and nurture them.
Description
Community Based Care of Brevard d/b/a Brevard Family Partnership was established in 2003 as a non-profit organization in response to the Legislative mandate to privatize foster care and related services ( Section 409.986, Florida Statutes). The Agency was awarded the contract through the Florida Department of Children and Families to manage Brevard County’s child welfare system.
In April of 2024, the Agency was awarded a four-county contract through the Florida Department of Children and Families to manage Brevard, Seminole, Orange and Osceola County’s child welfare system of care. The agency now known as Family Partnerships of Central Florida and its community partners provide child abuse prevention, foster care and support, adoption, independent living, and community outreach services to the children and families of Brevard County.
