The mission of Ozark Moonshine & Music Festival is to preserve Arkansas moonshine heritage through education and celebration, in order to provide hope and healing to children.
Description
Ozark Moonshine & Music Festival creates dedicated spaces for community members and visitors alike to celebrate essential aspects of the Ozark mountain region’s culture and heritage. The organization’s annual festival and educational programming nurtures intercultural and intergenerational connections while educating both visitors and the community about the importance of Bluegrass music, moonshine distilling, and children’s advocacy efforts throughout Arkansas. Without this vital annual bridge to the past, the history and stories of this area would be at risk of being lost forever. Over the last two years, the Ozark Moonshine & Music Festival has donated over $30,000 to the Children's Advocacy Alliance; an organization that provides hope, healing and justice for abused and neglected children in a five county area in Arkansas.
