Join us in making a difference, one child at a time.
Description
At Upendo Orphanage, our mission is to provide a loving and nurturing home for children aged 1 month to 14 years who have lost both parents or been tragically abandoned. We ensure their basic needs are met while offering them love, hope, and a chance for a brighter future. Volunteers play a crucial role in our organization, offering emotional support, educational assistance, organizing recreational activities, ensuring health and hygiene, and providing skill development opportunities. Their impact is profound, leaving a lasting impression on the children's lives. Volunteers become part of our family, immersing themselves in Tanzanian culture and lifestyle. Our accommodation provides a safe and welcoming environment, and volunteers contribute a modest fee to cover expenses. During their time off, volunteers can explore the vibrant city of Arusha and its surroundings. Cultural exchange is a vital part of the volunteer experience, where volunteers share their skills and knowledge while learning from our community. We welcome volunteers from around the world to join us at Upendo Orphanage, where their presence and contributions make a meaningful difference in the lives of our children and our entire community.
