Mission Statement
The people of St. Joseph Catholic Church are called to joyfully proclaim the gospel message in a spirit of freedom, justice and love through worship, example, teaching and learning.
Description
St. Joseph is becoming a more community-centered church by reaching out beyond our campus to address real needs in the Austintown community and beyond. We have a large organic vegetable garden from which we donate food to local organizations that address food shortages in our community. We write letters of hope to people incarcerated in prisons throughout Ohio. We offer support groups to those experiencing divorce or the death of a spouse. We offer space to Alcoholics Anonymous. We have a Society of St. Vincent de Paul that helps to meet the ongoing issues that impact families facing economic challenges. We have many educational programs for children and adults, including a summer Vacation Bible School. These and other organizations provide many rewarding volunteer opportunities for church members and non-members. We welcome you to join us as we work to change the world into a more loving and compassionate place to live.
