Description
Classroom hives started in 2012 by installing an observation beehive in a Boston Public Schools math class. The students loved learning about math and bees so much that we decided to use bees as a backdrop to learning. Our goals are to help sustain bees as they are subsepable to Varroa Mites and Colony Collaspe Disorder while we teach humans about the importance of bees to our very survival.
We currently have 6 hives in outdoor educational facilities, a museum. We also give educational talks about bees to schools and libraries.
