Mission Statement
ALPS Adult Day Services is here to provide center based care for adults ages 18 and up who may have a cognitive and/or physical impairment, or need companionship during the day. This allows their caregiver to be able to run errands, return to work or even have some much needed respite. Our mission is to provide compassionate care, therapeutic activities and professional support in a cozy, home like setting.
Description
Our day program opened first in Morristown in 1986 and our Greeneville Center in 2019 to serve families in Greene, Washington, Unicoi, Hawkins, Cocke and Sullivan counties. Our Nurses provide medication assistance and take vitals daily. Program participants enjoy breakfast, lunch and snack and have a variety of activities throughout the day. Our Center is open Monday - Friday from 8 am - 5 pm. As a non-profit we accept both monetary and in-kind donations and also volunteers to help us. Because of the generosity of our community we are able to offer a sliding scale, for those that do not have insurance, VA Benefits or are under-insured.
We have many opportunities for volunteers to help through out the week, whether during business hours or on the weekend. We would love to introduce you to our staff and see what may be a fit for you.
