Mission Statement

Our mission is to bring love, healing, and family to kids in crisis, so they can fulfill their potential and live their best life. Our vision is for every child in Texas to have a forever family.

J’s House is dedicated to finding a new way to meet the physical and emotional needs of children in Texas foster care. J’s House will serve as a 24-hour group home providing critical stabilization and treatment services to children who have experienced intense emotional trauma. We are looking to open our first home in northeast Houston, caring for up to 12 boys, ages 8-12.

Our treatment program is aimed at transformative healing, not just behavioral modifications. We will offer behavioral health services, occupational therapy, and other specialized therapeutic treatments. Additional services include mentoring, tutoring, extracurricular activities, a nutrition program, and the opportunity to pursue spiritual growth. To further promote healing, J’s House will provide a clean, safe, and comfortable environment while fostering a caring, family-like culture for the children as well as the staff.

Our goal is to help these boys heal, so they can find long-term placement before aging out of the foster care system. These children have unfairly experienced early emotional trauma. We are committed to giving them the chance to thrive!
