Role Description: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Treasurer to join our Board of Directors on a volunteer basis. The Treasurer will play a vital role in managing the financial health of SelfSoulLiberate, ensuring that the organization’s resources are used effectively to further our mission. This is a remote position, allowing you to contribute from anywhere. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the organization’s financial planning, budgeting, and reporting. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards. Prepare and present financial statements and reports to the Board of Directors. Ensure the organization’s financial policies are adhered to and updated as necessary. Collaborate with the Board and fundraising team to develop and implement financial strategies. Manage the organization’s banking and investment activities. Liaise with external auditors and oversee the audit process. Provide financial guidance and support to other board members and staff. Qualifications: Proven experience in financial management, accounting, or a related field, preferably in a nonprofit setting. Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and financial reporting. Familiarity with nonprofit financial regulations and accounting standards.
