Mission Statement
Established in 1969, Huron Valley Youth Assistance is committed to preventing juvenile delinquency, child neglect and abuse through community involvement. HVYA provides professional casework services and programs seeking to meet the unique needs of children and families living in the Huron Valley School District.
Description
Huron Valley Youth Assistance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, affiliate of Oakland County Youth Assistance. It is sponsored by Huron Valley Schools, the Townships of Highland, Milford, White Lake and Commerce, the Village of Milford, and Oakland County Circuit Court - Family Division, with Oakland County Board of Commissioners support.
We help families address home and school behaviors, promoting positive child development, giving guidance, problem solving, and fostering family relationships through short term services.
Our services include: Free family centered casework services, referrals to community resources, teen and substance use screening, assessment and educational programs. Day and overnight camp scholarships, enrichment scholarships to participate in sports, activities, and positive learning experiences. Youth and family educational programs.
