Create Meaningful Change! Volunteers are an integral part of the Hospice Team. Their unique skills and interests help to provide comfort and enhance quality of life for our patients and their families. Volunteers are the heart of hospice! Volunteer schedules are flexible, and a variety of skills are needed to ensure optimal care and support for hospice patients and caregivers to include direct patient care, administrative support, as well as outreach efforts. Volunteer opportunities are also available within the Legacy Hospice office which includes assisting staff with letter mailing, document filing, data entry and other special projects. Visits with your assigned patient are normally 1-2 hours per week or 1-2 hours per week assisting in the Legacy office.
