Gentiva is one of the largest Hospice providers across the country and we are honored that patients and families allow us to serve and support them during a valuable time in their life. There are many ways that you can volunteer with Gentiva Hospice, including sharing your gifts and passions with our patients and families, but if nothing comes to mind off hand- I have included a list of things we love to see our volunteers do with our patients and families. Hold a hand, share a story send a card listen or read a story sing or play an instrument run errands of preform light household keeping. Share flowers, bake or garden. Provide phone calls to patients and families Veteran- to- Veteran support. Engage in an activity or craft

Gentiva Hospice is looking for a Volunteer to provide support to hospice patients over the Cincinnati area. Volunteering with Gentiva can be creative with goals to provide comfort to our patients, and provide a sense of purpose and joy to you. Read someone a book, pray with them, craft together, and share stories. The options are limitless, we want to help our folks stay engaged through all stages of life, and love for Gentiva volunteers to be apart of it! There are not qualifications aside from eagerness to serve and a compassionate heart.

Volunteer with Hospice Patients and Families. With Gentiva Hospice we provide excellent care so patients and families can make the most of every moment. Gentiva Hospice Cinncinnati is welcoming new volunteers to provide companionship and social support. With Gentiva, you have the ability to brighten someone's day with your most valuable tool, YOUR TIME! Read someone a book or magazine, play a game, listen to music together, watch a favorite sports game, pray with them, engage with crafts, or spend time outside to enjoy the sunshine. Sometimes just your caring presence, and a smile is enough to bring comfort and joy to someone during a fragile time in their life. We have patients in nursing facilities and homes throughout Hamilton, Butler, and Clermont counties. We will work to find an opportunity near you. We pride ourselves in equipping our volunteers with tools they need to be successful and allow volunteers to collaborate with patients with scheduling that is highly flexible. We want volunteering to be easy and convenient for you! We truly believe that not only our patients and families receive positive support from your time, but that you will feel accomplished and joyful after a companionship visit. You do not need to have any experience or a specific skill set, we will provide all necessary training.
