Description
Foster Care Furniture is a 501 C-3 Corporation offering aging-out foster youth a free 13 week training program in carpentry, woodworking, and construction. The trainees assist in making furniture which is sold and all profits go back to the foster care program. The last week of training is a job fair and we assist the trainees in interviewing, resume writing, and connection with potential employers. The primary goal of the program is to get the trainees employed in a career they enjoy, assisting them in their transition to adulthood.
