Mission Statement
La Cosecha’s mission statement is "to empower members of our community with the resources to restore their dignity and stability. We achieve this by helping them at their lowest and providing the tools and training to improve their way of living and teaching them to give back when they are restored.
Description
Established in 2015, La Cosecha is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that hosts a free drive through food distribution every single Thursday. An average family of four receives a week's worth of food at each disbursement. Prior to the pandemic, La Cosecha served approximately 400 families a week, no questions asked. The need for assistance has doubled since the last week of March in 2020. Today, our volunteer team serves an average of 2,000 families per week. We have been able to see what our community can do when it works together!
