Our mission is to provide opportunities for young people to explore the world, broaden their horizons, and develop essential life skills. By breaking down barriers to travel, we aim to inspire a sense of curiosity, resilience, and global citizenship in the next generation. Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and creative Marketing and Communications Volunteer to join our team. As a Marketing and Communications Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in spreading awareness about our organization, engaging with our community, and promoting our programs and initiatives. Responsibilities: Assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies to increase visibility and reach of Steven's Wings. Create engaging content for social media platforms, website, blog posts, and email newsletters. Support the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns and events. Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing efforts and provide recommendations for improvement. Collaborate with team members to brainstorm ideas and initiatives for promoting Steven's Wings. Help maintain and update the organization's website and social media channels. Qualifications: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Creativity and ability to think outside the box. Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Passion for travel, education, and youth empowerment. Time Commitment: Flexible, with an estimated commitment of 5-10 hours per week. Commitment: 10+ hours/month for meetings, fundraising, and advocacy Organization: Steven's Wings is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering underserved youth through transformative travel experiences. By breaking down financial barriers to travel, we aim to inspire a sense of curiosity, resilience, and global citizenship in the next generation. Mission: Our mission is to empower underserved youth through transformative travel experiences, fostering curiosity, resilience, and global citizenship. Vision: We envision a world where all young people have the opportunity to explore, learn, and grow through travel experiences, regardless of their background or circumstances. Goals: Provide 20 passports to underserved youth in 2024 Raise $5,000 to cover passport fees and application costs Take 10 students to Spain for a 2 week cultural immersion trip in the summer of 2025 Present to 8 schools and community groups to connect with students on the importance of travel and promote scholarship opportunities Position Overview: We are seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Board of Directors in various roles, including Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, and Board Member. As a Volunteer Board Member, you will play a vital role in advancing our mission and goals, contributing your time, skills, and expertise to support underserved youth and promote global citizenship. Responsibilities: Attend monthly board meetings and participate actively in discussions and decision-making processes Dedicate time to fundraising efforts, including donor outreach, grant writing, and event planning Advocate for Steven's Wings within your personal and professional networks, raising awareness and support for our programs and initiatives Collaborate with fellow board members to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives Stay informed about relevant issues, trends, and best practices in the nonprofit sector and youth development field Qualifications: Active involvement in the local community and willingness to leverage personal networks for the benefit of Steven's Wings Experience or expertise in one of the following fields: marketing, banking, city governance, education, or travel/hospitality Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate our mission and vision effectively Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a passion for empowering underserved youth through travel and education Time Commitment: Approximately 10 hours per month, including board meetings, committee work, fundraising activities, and advocacy efforts Benefits: Opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of underserved youth Gain valuable experience in nonprofit governance, leadership, and strategic planning Network and collaborate with like-minded individuals who share a passion for youth empowerment and global citizenship Are You Ready to Make a Difference?
