Mission Statement

It is C.A.A.N., Inc.’s mission to: 1) Use athletics as a means of crime prevention and reduction of criminal recidivism. It has been voted upon and determined by the C.A.A.N, Inc. Board of Directors that the aforementioned mission can best be achieved by assisting/advocating for professional combat athletes (Boxers, MMA Fighters) and those who aspire to careers as professional combat athletes, including (but not limited to) combat athletes who are incarcerated, formerly incarcerated, have current legal issues or previous criminal history, and/or are legally at-risk, and 2) To use athletics to support and promote social justice for oppressed individuals and populations, through fundraising and other initiatives. These efforts will be conducted through the social justice arm of C.A.A.N., Inc., the Ripple of Hope Project.

Description

We have been serving needy and at-risk individuals for nearly a decade. Our criminal recidivism rate with the individuals we've assisted is roughly 37%, far below the the national average of 67%. We recently initiated an organizational membership program, which is currently expanding and now includes aspiring combat athletes in the country of Nigeria on the continent of Africa. We are seeking volunteers to assist us in the areas of website development and maintenance and fundraising development. Interested individuals should email us at Happyathlete24@gmail.com.
