Mission Statement
The PCC Paralegal program is a career pathway at PCC, providing students with an excellent start in the legal field, a growing and well-paying career with good working conditions. Students can earn a legal assistant certificate in 9 months, a paralegal certificate in one year, and an Associates of Applied Science in Paralegal in two years. We've been educating legal staff in Portland since 1973. As part of the outside accreditation of our program, we have an Advisory Council. The Council reviews and recommends policies, activities, and investments of the PCC Paralegal Program. A general public member is needed to represent the interests of potential clients, just people in the community who may have or at some point may have need for a paralegal. If you are interested in the law, or high paying careers without a bachelor's degree, this may be a great opportunity to get involved in something that makes a difference!
Description
PCC is a well-respected and stalwart member of the Portland community. As the largest institution of higher education in the State of Oregon, PCC's students come from all backgrounds and walks of life. The goal of the paralegal program is to provide affordable and accessible education for potential legal staff. This both increases economic mobility of our graduates, and increases access to affordable legal services.
