Mission Statement
STEPRox Recovery Support Center’s mission is to provide a safe place for the recovery community, their families and friends, and those who are interested in recovery and to engage in activities beneficial to the individual and the community by encouraging volunteerism and peer leadership opportunities.
Description
STEPRox Recovery Support Center is a peer-led community that support individuals 18+ to maintain a recovery lifestyle at ZERO COST and NO INSURANCE NEEDED. All participants/members are all voluntary. STEPRox is an empowerment zone- where lost abilities are found, interests are discovered, and goals are realized.
What do we offer?
Recovery Coach Services;
Opportunities to be involved in multiple pathways;
Share and devlop skills and tools to build a healthy relationship with oneself as well as with others;
Gives individuals a sense of purpose and builds self-esteem and self-worth;
Opportunity to give back to the community;
Learn and develop employment readiness skills, resume building, personal references, and opportunities to make connections that lead to future paid jobs;
Builds recovery capital;
Opportunity to be involved with policy changes citywide and statewide;
opportunity to be involved in the planning and attending sober social events;
Inspire others that people can and do recover;
Reduce stigma.
