Our Mission: The Canadian Foundation for Animal-Assisted Support Services (CF4AASS) is an impartial national registered charity that promotes the availability, credibility, and sustainability of Animal-Assisted Human Services excellence.
Description
The Canadian Foundation for Animal-Assisted Support Services (CF4AASS) was founded to identify and fill industry sector gaps, address relevant systemic barriers, and connect the dots to establish and preserve a seamless national credibility chain to better serve Canadians with disabilities and others with daily living challenges, to ensure consumer satisfaction, the health and welfare of the animals, and public safety.
The Canadian Foundation for Animal-Assisted Support Services (CF4AASS) is an impartial national registered charity promoting the availability, credibility, and sustainability of excellence in Animal-Assisted Human Services (AAHS).
The charity’s programs and activities encompass but are not limited to stakeholder engagement, special events, advocacy, outreach and education, research, and voluntary co-creation of AAHS Industry Sector Standards.
CF4AASS was pleased to announce Canada's first published voluntary National Standard of Canada for AAHS. Re-imagining Animal-Assisted Human Services (AAHS): Developing Canada’s first voluntary National Standard of Canada (NSC) for AAHS.
