Mission Statement

Moxie's Mission is dedicated to providing education and awareness on support dogs, disabilities, and mental health. Moxie's Mission also works directly with service dog organizations to provide financial assistance for veterans and non-veterans in need of a service dog.

Description

Katie Harris is the Founder and CEO of Moxie's Mission. She has a genetic condition called Ehlers-Danlos, which is a group of disorders that affect the connective tissues supporting the skin, bones, blood vessels, and various other organs and tissues. She has a service dog named Moxie to help her in a variety of ways. Some of Moxie's tasks include retrieving items, picking up items, opening and closing doors, providing medical alerts, and more.
To date, Moxie's Mission has funded five service dogs who provide emotional and physical support to individuals, including a firefighter, a veteran and others.
We need your help! As a small nonprofit, we need lots of help! We need operational assistance in areas such as public relations, marketing, social media, project management and others. Experience with nonprofits is a plus. Hours are totally flexible. If you want to help make a difference and pay it forward one service dog at a time, we’d love to have you!
