Mission Statement
Capital of Texas Team Survivor inspires women mentally and physically to regain normal lives during and after cancer treatment. Our programs are free and open to female identifying and nonbinary cancer survivors from all walks of life.
Description
Team Survivor was started in 1995 by two women who were looking for fitness classes for those who have had a cancer diagnosis. These classes are open to women, female identifying and non-binary people. This is a fully volunteer organization that has consisted of survivors all these years. We have wonderful partnerships with local private fitness businesses who donate and/or offer low cost classes. Team Survivor covers those costs and our members never pay anything. Members can be in active treatment or twenty plus years out. They have already paid enough!
